Overview

Anderson Edwards PLLC (“the firm,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to www.aecpagroup.com only - not to the client portal or to information you provide us as an engaged client, which are governed by our engagement agreements and professional obligations.

Information you provide

The careers form is the only form on this site. When you submit it we receive the information you enter - your name, email address, phone number and the role you are interested in if you provide them, and anything you write about yourself - together with the resume file you attach, if you attach one.

That information is sent to us as an email, with your resume attached to it, and is used to consider your application and to contact you about it. The email also records the IP address the application was sent from, which we keep as a record of the submission. Your application is not used for marketing, and we do not sell or rent it.

Please do not include confidential financial information - such as Social Security numbers, account numbers, or tax documents - in website form submissions or email. Engaged clients should use our secure client portal for document exchange.

Cookies

This site sets two cookies, both used only for analytics and both placed by Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_QQMX1SM7W4. They distinguish one visitor from another so that visit counts are not inflated, and they expire about thirteen months after your last visit. We set no advertising cookies and no cookies that follow you to other websites, and the site does not otherwise store information in your browser.

Information collected automatically

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it - pages viewed, approximate location at the city level, device type, and how you arrived here. We ask Google to truncate visitors’ IP addresses for this purpose, and we use what it reports in aggregate to improve the site rather than to identify individual visitors. The careers form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes limited technical signals, including your IP address, to distinguish people from bots.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across the web with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by using a browser that blocks analytics scripts.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. Three providers handle information on our behalf in the course of running this site: Cloudflare hosts it and provides the Turnstile check on the careers form, Resend delivers the application email and your attached resume to us, and Google provides the analytics described above. Each acts on our instructions for those purposes, and a copy of an application email exists in our own mailbox and in our account with the delivery provider. We may disclose information if required by law or professional standards.

How long we keep it

Applications and attached resumes are retained in line with our recordkeeping obligations as an employer, and for no longer than we have a reason to keep them. Analytics data is held under Google’s retention settings for our property. If you would like your application removed from our records, contact us using the details below and we will do so where we are not required to keep it.

Client information

As certified public accountants, we are bound by professional confidentiality standards, including the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and applicable IRS regulations (including IRC §7216) governing tax return information. Client records are never disclosed except as permitted or required by law or with your consent.
